Starting June 30th and for the rest of the summer, the Botanic Garden will host a series of Artists in Residence. These artists will be at the Garden on weekdays and will create works inspired by their surroundings. Their home base will be 10 Cameron Court. Stop in to chat with them about their work. This program is made possible by the City of Fredericton.

Neomi Iudit is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in theatre and poetry, creating works that feel intimate and unexpected. Informed by her experience as a racialized immigrant and a Queer and disabled artist, Neomi is working to build a practice that affirms the autonomy of marginalized people in creative spaces.

During this residency, Neomi will be working to create a series of monologues and poems from the perspectives of the plant and animal life in the Botanic Gardens affirming the importance of conserving urban green spaces and wild habitats.
