The Fredericton Botanic Garden has several memorial and tribute offerings for those who wish to remember family or friends or acknowledge a special occasion.
Garden Benches
Garden benches are constructed of solid steel, powder coated in a rich shade of burgundy. Each bench includes a bronze plaque which is custom inscribed with your message. Benches are permanently affixed to a concrete pad and are maintained by Garden staff and volunteers.
There are designated bench locations throughout the Garden, ranging from single benches in somewhat isolated areas, to groupings of two or more benches, ideally suited to families.
Because the bench is officially a donation to the Fredericton Botanic Garden, we are able to provide a charitable tax receipt for the cost. The cost of a Memorial or Tribute Bench is $5800.
Trees
We offer a variety of native species for your Memorial or Tribute Tree and guarantee its replacement should anything happen to it within the first ten years. These handsome trees come with a free-standing acknowledgment sign which is custom inscribed with your message.
There are designated tree planting locations throughout the Garden, ranging from places of isolation, to proudly trailside. We’re happy to work with you to find the perfect location for your chosen tree, or vice versa.
Because the tree is officially a donation to the Fredericton Botanic Garden, we are able to provide a charitable tax receipt for the cost. The cost of a Memorial or Tribute Tree is $850.
Inscriptions
Our Memorial Grove is a place of quiet solitude, featuring lush greenery and a collection of magnolias. Within the centre is a magnificent Memorial Stone, in the form of a granite boulder, available for inscriptions (limited to year of birth – name – year of death).
Because the Memorial Stone is already the property of the Fredericton Botanic Garden, we are able to provide a charitable tax receipt for the cost. The cost of a Memorial Inscription is $750.
